The 2024/2025 Ski & Snowboard Club at Pine Knob is open for registration! Club night is now on Thursdays, starting in January, with prices remaining the same as last year. Membership includes 6 lift tickets for club nights, discounts on lift tickets and rentals for non-club nights, and optional group lessons at a reduced rate. Rentals and adult memberships are available, and friends outside Musson and Long Meadow are welcome to join. Register and prepare for another fun season on the slopes! Reflections Deadline Extended, 11/11

The Reflections art program deadline is now Monday, November 11. With the weekend ahead, students can reflect on this year’s theme, Accepting Imperfection, and create in any of these categories: dance, music, literature, film, photography, and visual arts. Get creative and express yourself! 🎨

Kids4Kids | Gift Drive

This holiday season, the Kids4Kids Committee is excited to support the “Fostering Dreams” program, organized by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This wonderful initiative provides holiday gifts for children in foster care throughout Greater Oakland County.

You can make a difference by choosing a gift from the DHHS Amazon Wish List, which features items specifically requested by foster children and their host families. Once selected, you can send gifts directly to the DHHS office or, if you prefer, have them delivered to your home and bring them to school during our collection week, December 2 - 6. All donated gifts will be wrapped and hand-delivered to the children at their holiday brunch, making the season brighter for each of them.

Plus, every donation enters you in our Snow Globe Raffle! Each toy donated earns one entry, so the more you give, the better your chances. Check your student’s class folder and email for full raffle details and ways to participate.

WE DID IT, MUSSON! Thanks to the incredible support from our students, families, and community, we’ve hit our $20,000 fundraiser goal!

 

As a special thank-you, our students enjoyed an epic assembly where Principal Bidlack, teachers, staff, Maverick—and yes, even Deputy Gooch—suited up in inflatable costumes and raced for glory. The axolotl may have taken home the race victory, but from the cheers, it’s clear the real winners were our students!

This year’s theme is “Accepting Imperfection.” Each student who participates will receive 1 gold Musson coin per entry!

Kids4Kids Clothing Drive

The Kids4Kids Committee and the families of Musson Elementary will be collecting the most-needed winter clothing items to donate to underserved children in the Detroit area.

In partnership with the Student Council, we will kick off the giving season with a clothing drive to benefit children, supported through GFAGC, a Kids4Kids partner for over 20 years.  The most needed items for children in shelters are NEW, tagged, packaged underwear, socks, hats, winter headbands, ear warmers, and gloves.
